Electrolux reports surprise Q1 operating loss

STOCKHOLM, April 24 (Reuters) - Swedish home appliances maker Electrolux ELUXb.ST reported on Friday a surprise operating loss for the first quarter, and said sales declined organically by 0.5% in the period.

Electrolux reported late on Thursday a first-quarter operating profit before non-recurring items of around 200 million crowns ($21.6 million), missing analysts' expectations of 781 million crowns, on sales of 30 billion crowns.
